Common switch questions.
Will my X-Rite sensor work with QUBYX?
Yes — QUBYX is hardware-agnostic, so the sensor you already use with DisplayCAL will also work with PerfectChroma, PerfectLum, and PerfectEPD.
Is QUBYX really worth paying for if DisplayCAL is free?
For one personal workstation, often no. For studios with clients to defend work to, hospitals with compliance reviews, or agencies with multiple stations, the time saved and audit-ready reports usually pay back the cost quickly.
Can I migrate from DisplayCAL profiles?
You will need to re-create targets in PerfectChroma using smart presets, but the same sensor will produce equivalent results. The workflow change is bigger than the data change.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — /downloads/ includes free trial builds for PerfectChroma, PerfectLum, and PerfectEPD.
Does QUBYX recommend DisplayCAL for some cases?
Honestly, yes. If you are calibrating one personal display and have time to build your own QA discipline, DisplayCAL is a serious tool. We just operate in a different bracket.
