What is SmartSensor S2?
SmartSensor S2 is QUBYX’s professional external colorimeter for display, TV, and projector calibration. It provides accurate luminance and color measurement for photographers, colorists, designers, geospatial analysts, and home theater enthusiasts.
How is S2 different from S1?
S1 is a built-in OEM module designed to be integrated inside a display by manufacturers. S2 is a standalone external colorimeter you connect via USB — for individual professionals and end users. Both share the same CIE Tristimulus optics, 20-bit resolution, and 0.001–5000 cd/m² dynamic range.
Which software works with S2?
SmartSensor S2 integrates natively with PerfectLum (medical), PerfectChroma (creative color), PerfectEPD (geospatial), and RemoteQA (enterprise fleet). One sensor, the full QUBYX software ecosystem.
Can I use S2 with projectors and TVs?
Yes. S2 supports both contact measurement (against an LCD, OLED, or reference monitor) and distance measurement (for projector screens and televisions). Ambient light measurement is also supported.
What operating systems are supported?
S2 is supported on Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.14+ via the QUBYX software ecosystem. Linux SDK is available on request.
